چکیده
Abstract Background In women with diagnosed breast cancer, accurate loco-regional staging and preoperative examination are of utmost importance for optimal patient management decisions. MRI may be warranted correct as recommended from international guidelines. DWI-MRI can combined CE-MRI to assess more functional data. So we aimed evaluate the performance qualitative in malignant lesions regards local extension disease axillary lymph node status, beyond standard assessment mammography ultrasound. This prospective study included 50 female patients pathologically proven (BIRADS VI) coming staging. Full-field digital (FFDM) ultrasound, CE-MRI, findings were compared all patients, evaluated independently. Results then correlated postoperative histopathology. Fifty enrolled this study; mean age population was 43.25 years. The divided into 2 groups: 37/50 (74%) underwent upfront surgery 13/50 (26%) received neoadjuvant therapy before surgery. All performed DCE breast. Among who surgery, DCE-MRI showed highest correlation pathology size overall sensitivity regarding multiplicity. Regarding therapy, found have concerning lesion multiplicity after completion chemotherapy cycles. Conclusion accurately map detect multifocality/multicentricity, thus tailor surgical options (either conservative or mastectomy). Qualitative DWI ultrasonography better evaluation nodal status.

Preoperative diagnosis and staging of rectal cancer using diffusion-weighted and water imaging combined with dynamic contrast-enhanced scanning
The aim of the present study was to evaluate the value of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI) and water imaging combined with dynamic contrast-enhanced scanning for the preoperative diagnosis and staging of rectal cancer. In total, 72 patients with pathologically confirmed rectal cancer were selected for examination using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) with phased-array coils, DWI, water imaging...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Prediction of survival in patients with glioblastomas is important for individualized treatment planning. This study aimed to assess the prognostic utility of presurgical dynamic susceptibility contrast and diffusion-weighted imaging for overall survival in patients with glioblastoma. MATERIALS AND METHODS MR imaging data from pathologically proved glioblastomas between...

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE MR imaging characteristics of gliomatosis cerebri reiterate the diffuse nature of this tumor but are nonspecific and thus may pose a diagnostic challenge. Because perfusion MR imaging can provide a physiologic map of the microcirculation, we compared the measured relative cerebral blood volume (rCBV) at perfusion imaging with histopathologic findings in gliomatosis cerebr...
